Every two years, Brixen’s historic center becomes a glowing river of art. Since 2017, the Water Light Festival has brought immersive installations that blend light, water, and sustainability. The next edition runs from late April to mid-May 2026.�

This year, the festival becomes a biennial and joins the “Imagine Peace” network under Creative Europe. Installations by artists from Ukraine and across Europe—including Julia Shemsheiva, Xenorama, OCUBO, and Anish Kapoor—will explore themes of peace and environmental care. Among the highlights is Stefano Cagol’s performance for the International Day of Light, a powerful reflection on our shared future.
And that’s just the beginning.��

Designed in 2024 by @zenisk_lighting under the creative direction of Kristin Bredal, “The Sun” is a five-meter-wide, modular light installation made for light festivals. It consists of over 800 incandescent bulbs, each functioning as an individually controlled pixel in a glowing low-resolution screen.

Beyond its technical craft lies a deeper intention: to pause, reflect, and reconnect. In a fast-paced world, it invites us to slow down, to observe subtle transitions of light, and to rediscover stillness.

BAO City is the new restaurant by @bao_london, designed to feel like a Taiwanese karaoke bar from the ‘80s and ‘90s. At the heart of the space is light—warm, cinematic, and carefully layered.
Designed by MATHs, BAO’s in-house creative studio, here, every detail—from the curved ceiling to the smallest lamp—is designed to evoke nostalgia, intimacy, and the golden glow of a Taipei night.
