Designed by Michael Sillitoe and Alex Craig for Nulty Bespoke, “On The Wing” is a scenographic lighting piece inspired by the mesmerizing murmurations of starlings in flight.
Handcrafted in the UK by master glass artisans, the piece features hand-formed glass birds suspended at varying heights to evoke a sense of collective movement.

Each element is pulled from molten glass to shape delicate wings, then dipped in water to create a crackled, shimmering surface that catches the light.

Nearly two years ago, we interviewed Alberto Saggia, lighting and product designer, and Stefania Kalogeropoulos, architect, lighting and exhibition designer. Since founding Anonima/Luci (@anonima.luci) in 2018, the duo has focused on the relationship between light, interior architecture, and music.

Their research has since led to projects such as Spiritual Sauna II (Macao, Milan, 2020), Terraforma at Villa Arconati (Milan, 2022), Hyperlocal (2023), 555 for Club to Club (Turin, 2023), and, most recently, “Voce”, the new listening room at Triennale Milano.
A journey that keeps evolving — and will take center stage on November 26 during Atmosfera’s first online lecture, “Anonima/Luci: a lecture on the dialogue between light, music, and space.”

What catches a designer’s eye? What do they choose to photograph, and why?

Alberto Saggia and Stefania Kalogeropoulos of Anonima/Luci (@anonima.luci ) shared with us their latest visual notes: a gallery of moments suspended between landscapes, northern lights, technical experiments, and artistic environments, all revealing a deep sensitivity to light, its dialogue with what surrounds us, and its power to shape perception.

The cinematography in Sofia Coppola’s films speaks in tragic fluorescence. From “Lost in Translation” passing through “The Bling Ring”, “Marie Antoinette”, and her most recent “Priscilla”, we’re drawn to pop-melancholic icons in pastel glow, fading pinks, and flashes like lights from an abandoned funfair.
It’s a style that doesn’t redeem but suspends, like a rainbow trail leading its characters gently toward the abyss.

Last October, Casa Milana (@casamilana), the Milan-based creative studio founded by Italian designer Mario Milana (@mmariomilana) and Colombian creative Gabriella Campagna (@gabriellamcampagna), unveiled "Two Rooms," an immersive installation at LAMB (@lamb.gallery) in London, on view until April 11, 2026.

The installation poses a central question: What truly defines a home, and how do our bodies and senses experience a sense of belonging within it? The space unfolds as two rooms facing one another — a living area and a workspace — reflecting the duality between inner and outer life. Visitors are invited to engage all the senses: color, texture, sound, and scent, immersing themselves in the intimate atmosphere of home.

The installation features furniture and lighting pieces by Mario Milana (@mmariomilana), alongside collaborations with Ranieri, Beni, Fortuny, and artist Sofia Cacciapaglia. The setting is further enriched by works from Wassily Kandinsky and contemporary sculptures by Filippo Salerni and Ayla Tavares.
