A journey through magnificent sets, productions of world-famous works, emotion, and light. The next lecture in the Binaries series, curated by ATMOSFERA Mag, is scheduled for Thursday, October 15—an event designed to showcase key figures in the world of lighting, and one that this time welcomes maestro Marco Filibeck.
Best known for his pivotal role at Milan’s Teatro alla Scala, which he joined in 1985, he has coordinated and designed lighting for productions across the globe, while also working on art events, fashion shows, and photography exhibitions.
During the event, Marco Filibeck will explore his long-standing collaboration with Àlex Ollé, a director of the Catalan theater group La Fura dels Baus, with whom he has worked on a dozen opera productions and, last summer, on the staging of the tragedy I Persiani at the Greek Theater of Syracuse.
Admission is free upon registration on the Luma platform; the lecture will be in Italian with live English subtitles. Seats are limited and filling up quickly. Registration will close as soon as maximum capacity is reached.
Before the event, we invite you to (re)read our interview with Marco Filibeck, in which he shared his vision of light and its expressive importance:
