Among all the new lamps introduced in 2026, table lamps deserve special attention. Increasingly small and compact, they are often true “portable lights”—wireless and equipped with rechargeable batteries. Some models are more decorative, such as the striking “Vera” by Davide Groppi or “Era” by Occhio, while others draw inspiration from “unconventional light sources,” such as the modern lantern by Barovier & Toso or the glass candle by Vibia. The reissues are also noteworthy, particularly “Pallino” by Martinelli Luce and the balancing “Sillaba” by Fontanaarte.
Vera by Davide Groppi
Designed by Davide Groppi, Vera is “…a transparent volume that seems to transcend matter. When lit, a light bulb appears inside: a small heart of light suspended in a void. When turned off, everything disappears.” Its simple form consists of a borosilicate glass cone supported by a base in natural aluminum, matte black, or brushed bronze. The lamp was also presented in a limited edition with a lacquered amaranth finish for the Volumnia gallery, on the occasion of the recent exhibition “Davide Groppi. An Hour of Light.”
Filicudi by Pedrali
Pedrali’s small rechargeable lamp serves a dual purpose: the small polycarbonate diffuser emits light, while the mini-column—made of extruded aluminum with grooves—becomes a vase when the lamp is turned off. Designed by Andrea Pedrali.
Alba by Vibia
Wireless, this small table lamp by Vibia brings to mind a slender candle. Designed by the Palomba Serafini Associati studio, the switch is integrated into the base and allows you to adjust the light to three different intensities.
Era by Occhio
Axel Meise, founder and chief designer of Occhio, adds an elegant rechargeable table lamp made of glass and leather to the collection. Inside, the spherical LED light source appears to float in mid-air thanks to the patented Fireball technology.
Pallino by Martinelli Luce
This compact table lamp was born from the imagination of Elio Martinelli in the early 1970s, when design was expressed through saturated colors, innovative materials, and geometric shapes that challenged the austerity of the past. The slender, curved base, on which the spherical reflector rests, is now available in a battery-powered version in orange, white, blue, yellow, and red.
Aurora by Barovier & Toso
The exquisite Aurora, designed by Luca Nichetto for the Barovier & Toso glassworks, evokes the shape of a classic oil lantern. Rechargeable, it is crafted from handcrafted Murano glass; the shade is made of ribbed glass, while the base comes in a variety of colors.
Sillaba by Fontanaarte
Designed by Piero Castiglioni, this small, rechargeable lamp by Fontanaarte is the perfect accent light, ready to be moved as needed. Ideal for adding a special touch to a table setting, it’s a balancing act of an object that “always stands upright,” no matter the situation.
