Every two years, LIGHT+BUILDING transforms the city of Frankfurt into one of the world’s leading gathering points for the global lighting and design community. One of the central themes of the 2026 edition is Living Light – Light as a Defining Element of Space and Atmosphere”: light is explored as a living presence, capable of shaping and transforming architecture, atmosphere, and, ultimately, the user experience. We’ll be there again this year to share our editorial perspective. But this time, we also want to collect and showcase yours, through a photographic open call for everyone attending the fair.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

This open call is addressed to all professionals attending the fair from March 8 to March 13. We invite you to capture what inspires you most during the event: textures, materials, atmospheres, and unexpected details. Nothing documentaristic. No product reporting. Just images that reflect your personal experience of Light + Building.

Once you’ve taken your photos, send them via Instagram DM or share them in your stories and tag @ATMOSFERAMag. Please include your name, surname, and email address in the message.

WHAT YOU GET

By participating, you will receive early access to the next Atmosfera Guide, our professional tool mapping the most relevant trends in lighting, architecture, and design. You will also have guaranteed access to one upcoming Binaries appointment, featuring lectures, seminars, or workshops led by designers, studios, and brands sharing their expertise, tools, and vision.

A selection of submitted images will be displayed at the A.A.G. Stucchi stand (Hall 3.1 stand D81) during the fair and featured on Atmosfera Magazine and across our social media channels.

See you there!

Do you have a project to share?

Atmosfera is an open space for dialogue.  If light plays a key role in your research or a specific project, we’re ready to listen. We feature lighting design projects, art installations, photography series, and stories that explore the narrative potential of light.

Send us your portfolio or tell us about a project you care about.
It could become part of our editorial programming—or spark a new collaboration.
