The countdown has officially begun for the 64th edition of Salone del Mobile2. Milano, scheduled to take place from April 21 to 26, 2026. «Global connections, new curatorial territories, and an unprecedented opening toward the contract sector» sums up the announcements made during the press conference, which was attended by city authorities and led by Salone President Maria Porro.
At Rho Fiera, across more than 169,000 square meters of net exhibition space, completely sold out, over 1,900 exhibitors will be present (36.6% from abroad). The Salone Satellite will return alongside the EuroCucina biennial, which includes the FTK – Technology For the Kitchen exhibition, and the International Bathroom Exhibition.
The key highlights of Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026
The 2026 edition of Salone del Mobile presents itself as «an architecture of increasingly integrated content and exhibition paths», the organizers explain. «The Salone will introduce a new direction that will culminate in the 2027 debut of Salone Contract, whose masterplan has been entrusted by Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten of OMA. The goal is to explore the major themes shaping this evolving ecosystem: from reading contexts to the visitor experience, from integrated supply systems to strengthening the B2B networking dimension».
A key new feature in Halls 9–11 is the already announced Salone Raritas, a new platform dedicated to collectible design focused on limited editions, high craftsmanship, and antiques. This first edition will feature twenty-five exhibitors, including Nilufar, Salviati x Draga & Aurel, Mouromtsev Design Editions, Mercado Moderno, Bianco67, and Brun Fine Art. Annalisa Rosso has been appointed curator, while Formafantasma will design the exhibition.
The world of luxury and the kitchen and bathroom biennials
Halls 11–13 will host A Luxury Way, a contemporary reinterpretation of the same space once dedicated to “classic furniture.”
Taking center stage is the immersive installation Aurea, an Architectural Fiction, conceived by Maison Numéro 20, the studio founded by Oscar Lucien Ono. The project imagines a fictional hotel that turns interior design into a sensory narrative, embracing maximalism and extensive use of gold.
EuroCucina with FTK will showcase the latest trends in what is rightfully considered the social heart of the home. Industry updates are driven by technology, sustainability, and innovation, with a strong emphasis on intelligent systems and AI integration, combined with maximum customization of spaces and equipment by users.
The keyword for the International Bathroom Exhibition will be well-being, connected to concepts such as water efficiency, hygiene, and durability. The design approach will center on the idea of longevity, because more than any other space, the bathroom must withstand the passage of time and evolving daily rituals, without sacrificing aesthetics or comfort.
